I love colors--when you are in my class for even a few minutes, you will see that. Now, here's the challenge: recently I read that over three thousand words for color exist in the English language; by the end of the year, let's try to name a good chunk of them.
I'll start--
red, carnelian, scarlet, vermillion, tangerine, orange, lime, watermelon, peach, oyster, biscuit, ecru, taupe.....okay, see what you can add......

...amaranth, apricot, azure, brass, beige, carmine, cerise, dodger blue, eggplant, jade, khaki, tawny... there are so many colors!!
off white, Pine Green, Spring Green, Tan, Yellow- Orange, Red Violet, Red Orange, Sea Green, CHARTREUSE, Mulberry, Sepia, Burnt Sienna, Cornflower, Flesh, Olive Green, Salmon, Lemon, NEON!!, Royal blue, Raw umber, Canary, Fern, DENIM!!, Tickle me pink, Asparagus, CERISE!!, MINT!!...

lots of fun--but the color words must be just one work--khaki--not army green, for instance--
I always found Crayola crayon colors to have have some interesting names like eggplant, goldenrod, macaroni and cheese (my favorite), sunglow, wisteria, bittersweet, mulberry, and periwinkle just to name a few.
